Ukraine has announced that the European Broadcasting Union (EUB) condemns “Ukraine’s decision not to host the 2023 Eurovision song contest” due to the ongoing war in the country.
After The European Broadcasting Union (EUB) announced that the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest would not be held in Ukraine due to the Russia- Ukraine war, a statement came from Ukraine. Ukraine’s Minister of Culture, Oleksandr Tkachenko, condemned the decision, saying, “We will demand that this decision be changed because we believe that we will fulfill all our commitments. “We demand additional negotiations for Ukraine to host Eurovision-2023,” he said.
In the competition held last May, the group called Kalush Orchestra, representing Ukraine, came first with the song Stefania, while England came second. It is estimated that the UK will host the 2023 Eurovision song contest to be held next year.
